Still life has always been a fascinating subject for me as an artist. It is a genre that allows me to explore the beauty and complexity of everyday objects and the relationships between them. Through my work, I aim to create a sense of tranquillity and contemplation, inviting the viewer to pause and appreciate the simple things in life that often go unnoticed.
My approach to still life is grounded in the tradition of realism, but I also enjoy experimenting with different styles and techniques to create a unique visual language. I pay close attention to the interplay of light and shadow, the textures and colours of the objects, and the composition of the scene to create a sense of harmony and balance.
For me, still life is not just a representation of objects, but a reflection of the human experience. Each object has its own story and history, and by bringing them together in a composition, I hope to evoke a sense of nostalgia, memory, or emotion. Ultimately, my goal as an artist is to create a connection between the viewer and the objects, and to inspire a deeper appreciation for the beauty of the world around us.
